One page websites for Wisconsin contractors
You didn’t miss a call.You missed a job.
Nine times out of ten that job was lost on your website, or on not having one. So here is how I do this: I build your site first, you look at the finished thing on your phone, and you pay $299 only if you want to keep it.
- $299 one time, then $9 a month
- Live in about a week
- You own it the day you pay
- No contract, cancel any month
The work
Six builds. Look at them on your phone.
This is what $299 gets you. These are whole pages, not screenshots of the good bit. Scroll any phone and you will see every section your customer would.
Scroll inside a phone to see the whole page
Business names, phone numbers and addresses in these shots have been changed. The layouts, the type, the photography treatment and the code are the real thing, exactly what ships.
Why it matters
Your website should be your hardest working crew member.
When a furnace dies at nine at night, that homeowner grabs a phone. If they cannot find you, or what they find looks like it was built during the Bush administration, they call the next name on the list. Three places the job leaks out:
They can’t find you
No website, or one buried on page three, means you do not exist at the exact moment somebody needs you. Winter makes it worse. When a furnace quits or a pipe lets go, whoever turns up first gets the call.
What they find scares them off
Slow pages, tiny text, a layout that falls apart on a phone. Fair or not, people judge your work by your website in about five seconds, and a rough site says rough work.
Calling you takes effort
If your number is not one thumb tap away, they hit back and dial the next contractor down. That is a job gone in ten seconds, and you never even knew it happened.
How it works
I build it first. You decide after.
Most of this trade wants your card before you have seen anything. I would rather just build the thing and let you look at it.
You call or text
Two minutes tells us both whether this is worth doing. No pitch, no discovery session, no calendar link.
I build your site
From your Google listing, your photos, your towns, your real jobs. Three to five days, usually. You do not log into anything and you do not fill out a fifty field form.
You look at it on your phone
I text you a link. It is the finished site, live, not a mockup or a slide deck. Show it to your wife, show it to your crew, sit on it a week.
You want it, it’s $299
Your domain gets bought in your name, the site goes live on it, and everything is yours from that moment. Then pick a hosting plan, starting at $9 a month.
You don’t want it, we’re square
You pay nothing. No invoice, no drip campaign, no follow up six weeks later. It cost you one phone call and it cost me an afternoon, and that is the deal I am offering.
What’s in it
One page that does the whole job.
Not a brochure. Not fifteen pages nobody reads. One page built around a single question: does the person who just found you pick up the phone?
- Tap to call and text on every screenYour number follows them down the page. No hunting, no back button.
- A quote form that lands on your phoneFor the ones who would rather type than talk. Straight to you, nowhere else.
- Your real jobs, not stock photosShot on your phone is fine. Real work outsells a stock photo of somebody else’s kitchen every time.
- Fast on job site signalNo page builder bloat. It loads in about a second on two bars, because that is the situation it has to survive.
- Matched to your Google listingName, phone and hours identical to what Google already has, which is the part most cheap sites get wrong.
- Written the way people search for youYour trade, your towns, in the words a homeowner actually types at nine at night.
- Text me a change, it’s live same dayNew number, new hours, a job photo you are proud of. Text it. There is no dashboard for you to learn.
- Domain, SSL and hosting set up for youYou never touch DNS, a registrar, or a control panel. That is the whole point.
Ownership
You own it the day you pay.
The domain goes in your name, not mine. The files are yours. Hosting is month to month, so there is no term, no contract, and nothing to cancel.
If you ever want to leave, I hand you the whole thing and help you move it somewhere else. I will not hold your domain, your logo files or your photos to keep you paying me. Almost nobody in this business will put that in writing, which is exactly why I do.
The price
$299. Here is why it can be.
$299
One time, for the site. Then $9 a month to keep it online, or $19 or $29 if you want me doing more. That is every number there is.
- It’s one page, not fifteen.Page count is not a Google ranking factor. Padding a site with thin town pages can actively drag down the pages that matter. I am not charging you for filler I would not build for myself.
- Same system every time.No discovery phase, no design committee, no project manager billing his hours to your job. The parts are proven, so what I am spending time on is your business, not reinventing a contact form.
- Hosting genuinely costs me almost nothing. It is a static page on Cloudflare’s edge network. There is no server to rent, so there is no server to mark up and resell to you.
- There’s no agency between you and the work. Two of us, no office, no account manager, no project manager billing hours to your job. When you have a question about the build, you are talking to the person who built it.
| Who | What they publish | Five years |
|---|---|---|
| Hook Agency | Standard website, $12,000 total | $12,000 |
| Footbridge Media | $249 a month | $14,940 |
| Brew City Marketing (Milwaukee) | “Start around $5,500” | $5,500 |
| Milwaukee Web Design | Entry tier, $2,745 | $2,745 |
| MKE Web Labs | $299 once, then $19 a month | $1,439 |
Every figure above is the price those companies publish on their own websites, checked September 2026. Go and look them up. I have not marked anything up to make my column look better, and I have used my middle plan, not my cheapest one.
After it’s live
$9, $19, or $29 a month.
This is the part everybody else hides until after you have signed. Here it is up front. Pick one when your site goes live, change it or drop it any month you like.

$9 / month

- Two text edits a year
Service Plan
$19 / month
For the shop that actually changes: new hours, new photos, a price that moved, a truck you are proud of.
- Everything in Coverage
- Unlimited text edits, live the same day
- Swap or add job photos any time
- Seasonal and emergency banners
- One screen monthly report: visits, calls, forms
Full Coverage
$29 / month
For the shop that wants the website and the Google listing both handled, and does not want to think about either one.
- Everything in Service Plan
- I run your Google listing
- Broken hours and wrong categories fixed
- Every review answered, good or bad
- New service sections written as you grow
- Your edits jump the line
About the Google listing, straight up. For me to actually fix things on your listing, Google needs you to add me as a manager on it. That is Google’s rule, not mine, and it is a good rule: nobody should be able to touch your listing without you saying so. When you start on Full Coverage I text or email you the request, you tap approve, and that is the whole thing. Two taps on your phone.
You stay the owner the entire time. I am a manager, never the owner, which means you can remove me in one tap whenever you want and I can never lock you out of your own listing. If you would rather not give access at all, that is fine: I will just tell you what is broken and you fix it, and you should be on the $19 plan instead.
Photos are the one thing I leave to you. Uploading job photos to your own listing takes about ten seconds from your phone, right after you finish the job, and yours will always be better and more current than anything I could go and find. I will remind you. I am not going to charge you for tapping upload.
The guarantee
There’s nothing to refund, because you haven’t paid yet.
Everybody in this business offers money back. That still means handing a stranger your card and hoping, then arguing about it later if it goes wrong.
I would rather just build the thing and let you look at it. If it is not right, you walk away and it cost you a phone call. That is a better deal than any refund policy, and it is easier for both of us.
Who you’re dealing with
New name. Thirty years of making things look right behind it.
About thirty years in building and design work: video, print, web, production. Three decades of getting things to look right and read right. MKE Web Labs is new. The eye is not.
I run this out of Milwaukee with one other person, who handles sales and looks after customers. That is the entire company. When you call, one of us picks up. When you text a change, I am the one who makes it. There is no account manager, no ticket queue, and nobody standing between you and the person who actually built your site.
You will notice I do not put a name or a face on this page. That is deliberate. Plenty of shops lead with a founder story and a stock photo of a handshake. I would rather you judged this on the six builds above and on what happens when you dial the number, because those are the only two things that tell you anything.
I build for the trades because it is a job with a clear answer. Either the phone rings more or it does not. I would rather be measured on that than on a report full of words like impressions.
Straight talk, zero jargon
You will not hear synergy, funnel optimization or brand storytelling out of me. You will hear what it costs, when it is done, and what it does for you.
I answer the phone
Call it and see. Between the two of us somebody picks up, and if we are both out you get a text back within the hour. That is the entire policy and there is no phone tree.
Trades only
HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, remodeling, concrete, painting, landscaping, excavating, fencing, garage doors. It is all I build for, and it is why I already know your questions.
Questions
Straight answers.
How much is it, really?
$299 one time for the site. After it is live, hosting is $9, $19, or $29 a month depending on how much you want me doing. That is every number there is. Nothing gets added later.
What is the catch at $299?
There is not one, but here is the honest answer. It is one page, not fifteen. I build on the same proven system every time instead of starting from a blank page. Hosting a static site costs me almost nothing. And there are two of us, with no office and no account managers to pay for. Cheap here means less overhead, not less care.
Do I really not pay until I see it?
Correct. I build your site from your Google listing and whatever you send me, before we ever talk money. You look at the finished thing on your phone. If you do not want it, you pay nothing and I take it down.
Do I own it?
Yes, the day you pay. The domain goes in your name, the files are yours, and there is no contract or term. Hosting is month to month. If you ever want to leave, I hand you everything and help you move it.
How long does it take?
Usually three to five days once I have your photos and your details. Faster if you are in a hurry and say so.
I already have a website. Can you fix it?
Usually I would rather rebuild it than patch it, and at $299 that is normally cheaper than the fix anyway. Send me the link and I will tell you straight which one you need.
Do you do Google SEO or missed call texting?
Your Google listing, yes, on the $29 plan: I fix the hours, fix the category when it is wrong, and answer your reviews. That is the thing that actually moves you on the map locally, and most contractors have a listing quietly broken right now. It needs you to add me as a manager on it, which is two taps and reversible. Photos stay with you, because yours are better than anything I could dig up and it takes ten seconds from your phone.
SEO campaigns and missed call texting, not yet. The texting automation is in build. When it is ready you will get a call, not an invoice. I would rather tell you no than sell you something I am not doing yet.
Why only one page?
Because you sell one trade in one area, and almost everyone who lands on your site wants the same thing: your phone number. Splitting that across fifteen pages does not help them find it and it does not help you on Google. Page count is not a ranking factor, and thin pages can drag down the good ones. You win locally with the right page, a complete Google listing, and reviews. If your shop genuinely needs more, say you run two trades that people search for in completely different ways, I will tell you that and we will build it. I am just not padding your site to make the invoice look bigger.
Built for your trade
A plumber’s page and a roofer’s page are not the same page.
A plumbing customer is deciding in five seconds with water on the floor. A roofing customer is checking whether you are real before they let you on the property. Same price, different build.
Get started
Let’s see what yours looks like.
Text is fastest and I read them between builds. Calling works. The form works too, and it comes straight to my phone, not to some inbox nobody checks.
Or send the form
Three fields. Tell me what you do and where you work, I will take it from there.
